What a joyous night celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord! It is always a joy to hear the singing, the shouts of “Truly, He is Risen” in many languages, seeing little ones asleep next to their parents! Thank you to Fr. Oliver for serving in the middle of his Air National Guard drill weekend and while fighting off a cold. Enjoy these photos:
We stood before our Creator’s tomb Friday evening, hearing the Lamentations. Pictured is Fr. Oliver standing before the Epitaphios during the reading of Psalm 119. We’re looking forward to a crowded church tomorrow evening celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord!
On February 2nd, our former parish Priest (Fr. Oliver Herbel) made the transition to serving as a chaplain in the North Dakota Air National Guard. We are thankful for his years of dedication and service to Holy Resurrection Mission and wish him and his family well in his new ministry.
We now await assignment of a new Priest by His Grace, Bishop Paul. In the meantime, visiting Priests will serve the Divine Liturgy on a regular basis. When a Priest is not available, we will hold a Reader’s Typica service. We continue to have Small Compline prayer service Wednesday evening as well.
The parishioners of Holy Resurrection look forward to a time of community building and strengthening the parish as we await a new Priest, humbly praying guidance for our Bishop as he searches for our new parish Priest.
